High School Announcements:

Coffee House

  • Tonight, November 14 in the library from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.  Advanced tickets are $5.00.  There will be food available to purchase.  Please come and support Guatemala!

Cleveland Students 

  • Please bring in your $60.00 per chocolate box to the library.

Annual Fall Chess Tournament

  •  If you are interested in playing chess, please see Mr. Geddes to sign up and enter your name in the draw.  You may be lucky and play Miquel Cyr in the first round!!!  Prizes for first and last place.  The tournament starts on Monday, November 25.

World Issues

  • Are you interested in joining a world issue club? This club will seek to learn and discuss issues affecting our planet today.  Guest lecturers, cool activities and world knowledge for people who want to better understand what is going on in our world today and why it is happening.  If you are interested, we will begin meeting every second week on a day to be determined by the group.  See Mr. Geddes for more information or come to our information meeting on Wednesday, November 20th.

Ski and Snowboard Club

  •  High school ski and snowboard club is currently sold out!! If you did not get a chance to sign up, and are still interested, please see Mr. Cordick.

Parish News

  •  St. Mary Parish is looking for student volunteers to help at the Parish Christmas Bazaar being held this Saturday at St. Mary’s Parish Hall located next door to Sty. Mary’s Elementary School on Hawthorne Ave in Carleton Place.  Students are to arrive at 9:00 a.m. and will earn hours until 3:00 p.m. with an extra hour for travel time.  (7 volunteer hours in total) Students can meet with Mrs. Fernandes in room 222 anytime this week for more information and to sign up.

She Kills Monsters

  • Cast and Crew of “She Kills Monsters”, the rehearsal schedule is up!  Make sure you check and make sure you’re available on the days you’re needed.

Sr. Boys’ Basketball

  • Sr. boys’ basketball tryouts will be after school tonight, Thursday, November 14 at 2:15.  See Mrs. Gagne for more information.

College and University Visits

  •  Please continue to watch the calendar as we will be hosting several universities and colleges

Acadia University

  • Acadian University is coming to Ottawa!!   They are holding a Parent-Student Information Night on November 19 at the RA Centre in Ottawa Courtside A (2451 Riverside Dr., Ottawa, On K1H 7X7 from 7 – 9 pm and we hope to see you there!                                                                                                     Students will have the chance to learn about everything Acadian has to offer!  They will have Alumni present who can share their personal experiences.  If students are interested in applying, they will be waiving the application fee and offering on the spot admissions.  All you need is a copy of your transcript, it does not need to be official or signed.
