Indigenous Education Day

Noah King, Bryanna Lavictoire and Alex Kay participated in an Indigenous Education Day, along with students from Ottawa boards, sponsored by Kairos, a social justice organization. The theme was Empowered and Empowering Youth. All three ND students are part of a 10-student team that will be going to Sandy Lake, a remote community in Northern Ontario in June, to learn about Indigenous culture.

OPP Visit to Life Skills

A big thank you to Cst Greg Streng for visiting the Life Skills Class. Cst Streng shared with the students the role of police officers in our community and the helping hand that they lend every day. Students were able to see some of the tools that are used on the job and were able to check out the police car!
